Solid oak log store with living roof

The brief was to create new storage for fire wood, which would be in keeping with this garden in the heart of the Peak District.

The frame itself was handmade from solid oak, and was topped with a living roof, planted with sedum, house leeks and saxifrage.

Gabion cages were fitted between the oak frame struts, and were infilled with stones from a fallen dry stone wall at the bottom of the garden, so as to re purpose materials, and as a nod to the garden's heritage.
